Recently, a 33-year-old resident of the Sarny district became a victim of fraud when a man, who introduced himself as a bank employee, called her. He informed the woman that a loan had been opened in her name and offered assistance in repaying it, to which she agreed.

Continuing the conversation, the scammer asked the woman to provide all her bank card’s confidential information, including the account number, CVV code, and password. He also advised her to delete the bank’s application, which she did.
After a few hours, upon re-downloading the online banking app, she discovered a notification about the withdrawal of funds. At that moment, the woman realized she had fallen victim to fraudsters.
As a result of this fraudulent scheme, the 33-year-old resident lost 72,355 hryvnias.
