Currently, nearly 44 thousand valid medical licenses are registered in Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Health. About 67% of them have been issued to doctors and medical professionals who are self-employed.

Among private companies, the most licenses have been issued in the field of junior nursing, as well as in the organization and management of healthcare.
The license for dentists has become the most sought after, with 10,067 licenses issued, accounting for 34% of the total. Additionally, over 25 thousand licenses have been issued for other types of dental activities. There is also a demand for licenses for junior nursing — 8,351 licenses (28%) and for ultrasound services — 2,257 licenses, which constitutes 8%. It is important to note that one license can cover several types of medical services.
The largest number of medical entrepreneurs works in Kyiv — 2,600. In the Rivne region, 893 licenses have been recorded.
