Details of the search operation have been released by the State Emergency Service of the region.

In the village of Kolky, within the Dubrovytsia territorial community, two young children were left unsupervised by adults and ended up near a body of water. Following the report of their disappearance, extensive search efforts were launched to find both boys, who were born in 2021 and 2023.
Unfortunately, during the examination of the river’s waters, the body of the younger brother, a child born in 2023, was discovered and brought to the surface.
As of today, the search for the older boy (born in 2021) continues without interruption.
To maximize the effectiveness of the search of the area and the river’s waters, 23 rescuers from the 8th and 14th state fire and rescue units, mobile teams from the 3rd and 5th state fire and rescue brigades, 5 units of equipment, 2 boats, as well as 3 unmanned aerial vehicles, including a drone with a thermal imaging camera for detecting objects in challenging conditions, have been involved. The search efforts also include a canine unit from the emergency rescue squad with a search dog, divers, law enforcement officers, and local residents.
Currently, every meter of the shoreline and the riverbed is being examined.
