The investigator who arrived at the scene preliminarily established that a 39-year-old female driver of an Audi A6, while turning left, failed to yield the right of way, resulting in a collision with a Fiat Scudo driven by a 20-year-old resident of the village of Bronnyky.
As a result of the accident, two children of the Audi driver, who were in the cabin, were injured: the 17-year-old daughter was diagnosed with a closed femur fracture, while the 15-year-old son sustained ligament damage to the cervical spine.
Both children are currently undergoing further examination.
The investigator has opened a pre-trial investigation into the violation of traffic safety rules. Both drivers were sober at the time of the incident.
