The Varash community is once again in mourning. On May 22, during a combat mission near the settlement of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region, Andriy Fedorovych Kyrychik was killed. His life was cut short by a kamikaze drone strike.

Andriy was born and raised in Varash, where he attended Lyceum No. 1. After that, he obtained his education at Rokytniv Medical College, specializing in “medical affairs.”
In December 2024, he took up the defense of the state and the Ukrainian people.
The 30-year-old senior soldier served as an inspector of the border service of the 2nd category — an operator of unmanned aerial systems within the 3rd border detachment named after Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevhen Pikus.
For his displayed courage and dedication to service, Andriy was awarded a commendation from the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.
At home, his parents, wife, and sister were waiting for him.
The date and time of the farewell will be announced later.
