On December 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the city of Dubno, a farewell will be held for the Defender of Ukraine, soldier Vasyl TYMOSHCHUK, a native of the village of Kryvukha in the Dubno community.

The hero died on December 5, 2025, while performing a combat mission in defense of the village of Hryshyne, located in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region.
Vasyl Volodymyrovych TYMOSHCHUK was born on January 13, 1986. He studied at Dubno Secondary School No. 3, after which he enrolled in the local vocational technical school to specialize as a gas-electric welder. After completing his education, he worked in his field and had a strong desire to improve his skills. He was also passionate about wood carving.
In December 2023, Vasyl joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he bravely fulfilled his duty to defend his homeland. For his courage and selflessness, he was awarded several military honors.
After the farewell ceremony at Independence Square in Dubno, the mourning procession will head to the village of Kryvukha, where a funeral service for the fallen soldier will be held at the Church of St. John the Theologian. The hero will be buried at the local cemetery.
In connection with these events, by the order of the city mayor, December 16, 2025, has been declared a Day of Mourning in Dubno.
