A 16-year-old resident of the village of Nova Ukrainka, who was injured in the accident, underwent surgery and is currently in serious condition in the hospital.

The investigator has initiated criminal proceedings regarding the violation of traffic safety rules by the driver who operated the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, resulting in moderate bodily harm to the victim. A 38-year-old resident of the Sarny district has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The judge of the Rivne District Court granted the investigator’s request and chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention for 60 days with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 266,240 hryvnias.
The suspect has not yet paid the bail, so he remains in the detention center.
The investigation is ongoing.
