After completing his mandatory military service, Hennadiy worked as a driver in the fire departments of Varash and at “Rivneazot,” and later became a long-haul truck driver abroad. In February 2024, he voluntarily decided to defend his homeland.
“He said that his professional skills would be needed there. Hennadiy served as a sanitary driver in the evacuation unit, but later, due to a shortage of personnel, he was transferred to the infantry. He was a person who never complained, even in difficult times. Since childhood, he was passionate about cars, loved the road and his work. He could do everything with his own hands, repair anything. Family was always his top priority,” said the defender’s wife.
Unfortunately, 52-year-old senior soldier Hennadiy Tyvanyuk was killed on March 3, 2026, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk region. For a long time, he was considered missing in action, but recently his body was identified and handed over to his family for a dignified burial.
Hennadiy is survived by his wife, two sons, and mother.
The farewell to Hennadiy Tyvanyuk will take place on Thursday, May 28, at 10:00 AM at Independence Square in Rivne. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Peter and Paul in Kvasyliv. The serviceman will be buried at the cemetery in Zdolbuniv-2.
