Sergiy Vasyliuk, Oleksandr Shevtsov, Volodymyr Hoinik, and Oleksandr Furmanets became heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine, and their memory was honored in the Rivne region.

Sergiy Vasyliuk, born on September 9, 1986, in Kostopil, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 19, 2022. He was considered missing in action, but in January 2026, his identity was confirmed through DNA. Staff Sergeant Vasyliuk died on October 17, 2024, while performing a combat mission.
Oleksandr Shevtsov, who was born on March 8, 2002, in the village of Zhalyn, also made the decision to defend his homeland. In 2025, after his father was called to service, he himself joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 28. Unfortunately, on January 21, 2026, Oleksandr was killed in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Volodymyr Hoinik, born on May 8, 2003, in the city of Dubno, studied at the Ostroh Regional Lyceum and the Military Institute of the Kyiv National University. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on November 4, 2024. Volodymyr, as a drone operator, was killed on January 26, 2026, near Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Oleksandr Furmanets, born on May 4, 1970, in the village of Tynne, voluntarily went to defend Ukraine from the first days of the war. He served in the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade and was considered missing in action since December 11, 2024. Unfortunately, DNA testing confirmed his death.
