Recently, the Ukrainian Championship in para athletics throwing events (shot put) took place in the city of Cherkasy, featuring athletes with musculoskeletal injuries, visual impairments, as well as those with intellectual and physical disabilities.

The competition saw representatives from 17 regions of Ukraine, including veterans of combat operations.
The Rivne region team was represented by 7 athletes from the RRC “Invasport,” five of whom participated in national competitions for the first time. The athletes showcased impressive results and won several awards.
Among women with musculoskeletal injuries in class F54, Tetiana Kravchuk won a gold medal, achieving a result that meets the standard of a Master of Sports of Ukraine.
Among men with musculoskeletal injuries, the athletes from Rivne achieved the following placements:
- Andrii Nesterchuk — gold medal in class F53;
- Viacheslav Katerynych — silver medal in class F32;
- Bohdan Opanasюк — silver medal in class F47;
- Anatolii Lanyush — 4th place in class F54;
- Mykhailo Sikorskyi — 5th place in class F54.
Among men with visual impairments in class F11, Vitalii Veres secured 4th place.
