A biogas plant specializing in the production of electricity and biomethane is planned to be built in the Dubno district of Rivne region.
This is reported by Rivne24
The project is being implemented by the agricultural industrial group “Technology”. The biomethane produced at the facility will be supplied to Ukraine’s gas transportation system, while the electricity is planned to be used for internal needs or sold on the energy market.
The construction of the bioenergy complex is planned on land adjacent to the village of Ridkiv in the Krupets territorial community. The initiator of the construction is LLC “Energy Company ‘Technology'”, which has already leased 8.97 hectares for this project.
During the production process, it is planned to process cattle manure, chicken litter, and corn silage into biogas. From the obtained biogas, biomethane will subsequently be produced, as well as thermal and electrical energy.
The new plant is expected to operate continuously throughout the year, with maintenance carried out by up to 35 employees.
It is anticipated that the new production will annually yield:
- Biogas – up to 15 million m³;
- Biomethane – up to 6 million m³;
- Electricity – up to 25 thousand MWh.
