The Security Service of Ukraine neutralized an FSB agent involved in recruiting citizens of the Kirovohrad region for carrying out terrorist acts and diversions against the Ukrainian state.

According to the investigation, the 17-year-old agent, acting on behalf of the FSB, enlisted accomplices to organize arson attacks on military equipment and energy facility generators in the region.
The next task for this individual was to plan a terrorist act in the regional center. He was supposed to retrieve TNT from a stash to create an improvised explosive device.
SSU officers caught the agent “in the act” near the location where he planned to collect the explosives. During searches, they seized a smartphone containing correspondence with FSB representatives.
The suspect has been charged under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason in conditions of martial law), which provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
According to Suspilne, the detainee is a resident of Rivne region who communicated with Russian special services via Telegram and sought performers for arson attacks on military equipment in Kropyvnytskyi for a reward.
