Genetic testing has confirmed the death of Ihor Ilarionovych Yasynskyi, born in 1978, a sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who served as a machine gunner in the 3rd mechanized section of the 1st mechanized platoon of the 8th mechanized company of the 3rd mechanized battalion. He was a resident of the village of Berestivka.
Ihor Ilarionovych was killed on January 6, 2025, while performing a combat mission. He had been considered missing in action, but it turned out that he fell in the Kursk region while fulfilling his duty to defend Ukraine.
The Hero’s reception will take place tomorrow, January 27.
Arrival at the square of the village of Volodymyrets is scheduled for 11:00 AM. After that, the procession will proceed to the St. Nicholas Church, and then to the village of Berestivka, to the house where the soldier lived. A brief memorial service will be held near the house. The burial of the fallen soldier will take place at the local cemetery in the village of Berestivka.
