The perpetrator of the tragedy does not admit his guilt and is currently being held in a pre-trial detention center. He faces up to 10 years in prison according to the sanctions of the article.

It is reported that on the night of December 29, in the village of Satiiv, a dispute arose between a 37-year-old man and his 38-year-old acquaintance, which ended tragically. During the conflict, the man struck the woman at least four brutal blows to the head.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the woman died at the scene.
The assailant was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, he was informed of the suspicion under part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in the victim’s death).
The court determined a preventive measure in the form of detention, in which he remains to this day.
The pre-trial investigation has been completed, and the materials of the criminal case have been transferred to the court.
Among the aggravating circumstances, it is noted that the crime was committed while in a state of intoxication. No mitigating circumstances have been established.
