In the Rivne region, a former councillor of one of the village councils in the Dubno district has been suspected of providing false information in a declaration (Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It has been established that during the preparation of declarations for the years 2023 and 2024, the official, authorized to perform state or local government functions, indicated false information regarding property valued at over 30 million hryvnias.
In particular, the suspect, who is a private entrepreneur, did not declare that he owns six real estate properties: a residential house, an administrative building, and four farm premises with a total area of 1,700 square meters, as well as cargo and passenger vehicles, including semi-trailers. Additionally, the man did not indicate that he owns approximately 40 plots of land with a total area of over 60 hectares.
He has voluntarily resigned from his position as a councillor.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in Rivne region with operational support from the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine.
The article’s sanction provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to two years, with the possibility of deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
