The network of mobile palliative care is actively expanding in the Rivne region, aimed at ensuring access to quality medical and palliative support for patients who cannot visit medical facilities due to severe health conditions. This is especially important for residents of rural and remote communities.

Currently, 33 healthcare institutions in the region have signed agreements with the National Health Service of Ukraine to provide palliative care. A total of 41 mobile palliative teams are operating, consisting of 259 healthcare professionals.
In 2025, palliative care was provided to 3,793 patients, including 356 children.
Mobile palliative teams provide assistance directly at home, which includes pain relief, symptom management, psychological support for patients and their families, oxygen and respiratory support, provision of medications and medical supplies, as well as training for relatives on proper care for the seriously ill.

- Contact your family doctor or treating physician, who will assess the patient’s condition and issue a referral.
- Reach out to a medical institution that provides mobile palliative care (municipal hospitals, primary healthcare centers, or other facilities contracted with the NHSU).
