A call was received on line 102 regarding a traffic accident on Vasyl Chervoniy Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, the patrol officers found that the driver of an unknown vehicle had damaged a parked Peugeot near the building and fled the scene of the accident. The officers discovered traces of black paint on the complainant’s vehicle, indicating a collision.
Thanks to the cameras of the “Safe City” system, the patrol officers quickly located the driver, who turned out to be a 62-year-old man behind the wheel of a Volkswagen.
It was established that the Volkswagen driver had not engaged the parking brake, causing the vehicle to roll and collide with the stationary Peugeot.
As a result of the accident, both vehicles sustained mechanical damage.
The patrol officers drew up administrative materials against the Volkswagen driver for:
- Art. 124 (Traffic violation causing an accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- Art. 125 (Leaving the scene of an accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- Part 1 of Art. 126 (Driving without the appropriate documents) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
