Rescuers in Rivne Free Elderly Woman Trapped Behind Sofa

On November 17 at 18:48, rescuers received a signal that a woman was calling for help in an apartment on General Bezruchka Street in Rivne.

Firefighters from the 25th State Fire and Rescue Unit quickly arrived at the scene. Using a ladder, they ascended to the second floor and entered the apartment through a window. There, they found a woman born in 1955, whose arm had become stuck behind the sofa while she was cleaning, and she was unable to free herself.

The rescuers carefully freed her arm and opened the door for the paramedics who arrived on the call. They also assisted the woman in descending to the ambulance.

Doctors are currently assessing the condition of the victim.

“We reacted quickly to the call and were able to help,” the rescuers noted.
