Driver with drugs detained in Rivne during inspection

Yesterday in Rivne, on Vitaliy Mahiel Street, inspectors stopped a Renault car for violating traffic rules.

This is reported by Rivne24

During the conversation with the 48-year-old driver, law enforcement officers noticed signs of drug intoxication and observed his suspicious behavior — the man was nervous and tried to avoid conversation. As a result, the police conducted a superficial check, during which a polyethylene package containing a plant-based substance, likely narcotic, was found in the driver’s backpack. Additionally, two zip bags with a powdery substance resembling drugs were discovered in the car’s door panel.

The driver was offered to undergo an examination at a medical facility; he initially agreed but later refused to proceed.

Administrative materials were compiled against the offender:

  • under part 1 of article 130 (Refusal to undergo examination) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
  • under part 2 of article 126 (Driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the right to drive such a vehicle) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

Investigators were called to the scene to clarify all circumstances.
