Exceedance of Phenol, Hydrogen, and Nitrogen in the Air of Rivne

Research conducted by the Comprehensive Laboratory for Monitoring Environmental Pollution at the Rivne Hydrometeorological Center has revealed that the average daily concentrations of pollutants in the atmospheric air of Rivne exceed the permissible limits.

As a result of the inspections, the following levels of pollutants were recorded:

  • Suspended substances – 1.38 MAC (March 24)
  • Nitrogen dioxide – 1.06 MAC (March 25, 26)
  • Phenol – 1.36; 1.37 MAC (March 24)
  • Hydrofluoric acid – 1.23; 1.79; 1.15; 1.65 MAC (March 23, 24, 25, and 27)
  • Formaldehyde – 1.79; 2.73 MAC (March 23, 24)

MAC – Maximum allowable concentrations of pollutants in the atmospheric air of populated areas, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 813 dated May 10, 2024.
