Farewell to Five Ukrainian Heroes in Rivne Region

A farewell ceremony took place in the Rivne region for five defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine. Among them are Dmitry Kravchuk from Kostopil, Mykola Omelychuk and Andriy Mazurets from Hoshcha, Vasyl Snizhko from Volodymyrets, and Oleksandr Tomilovych from the Boremel community.

Dmitry Kravchuk, a native of Kostopil, began his service in the Armed Forces in November 2022. Initially, he served as an infantryman, and later joined a unit of strike drone complexes. Unfortunately, on February 16, 2026, his life was cut short due to an enemy UAV strike in Donetsk region.

Mykola Omelychuk, born on May 18, 1978, in the village of Vovkoshiv in the Hoshcha community, took up arms to defend Ukraine on September 24, 2022. He died on February 15 of this year in the Zaporizhzhia region while carrying out a combat mission when an enemy drone hit his position.

Andriy Mazurets, who was born on January 26, 1994, in the village of Malynivka in the Hoshcha community, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 10, 2024. He was killed on February 14, 2026, while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk direction.

Vasyl Snizhko, born on January 2, 1976, and residing in the village of Lyubakha, served in the 1st mortar platoon of the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush. He died on February 14, 2026, remaining faithful to his military oath until his last breath.

Oleksandr Tomilovych, born on October 6, 1994, lived in the village of Maleve in the Boremel community. He began his service at the start of the Liberation War for Ukraine’s independence during the ATO. In May 2022, he returned to the military and served as a senior soldier-inspector in the border service. Unfortunately, Oleksandr was killed on February 19, 2026, in Kharkiv region, fighting for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
