Farewell to Four Fallen Defenders in Rivne Region

A farewell ceremony was held in the Rivne region for four defenders: Anatoliy Datsyuk, Valentyn Kulak, Nazar Omelychak, and Oleg Tereshchuk.

Information about the Fallen Defenders

Anatoliy Datsyuk, born on October 2, 1982, lived in the village of Mylcha, which is part of the Povchanska community. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 29, 2025, and served in the 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, defending his homeland in the Sumy direction. On December 23, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission, Anatoliy was killed by an FPV drone strike.

Valentyn Kulak was born on July 2, 1986, in the village of Khrynnyky, located in the Demydiv community. He was called up for military service on August 22, 2024. He served as a sailor and grenade launcher in a marine infantry unit. For a long time, Valentyn was considered missing in action, but unfortunately, his death was confirmed — he was killed in battle for Ukraine on December 8, 2024.

Nazar Omelychak, born on February 5, 2000, in Volodymyrka, voluntarily took up the defense of his homeland on February 25, 2022. He served as a grenade launcher in the 70th Separate Territorial Defense Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participating in battles in the Sumy, Kupiansk, and Zaporizhzhia directions. On March 9, 2024, Nazar was killed in the Zaporizhzhia direction while performing a combat mission. For his dedication to Ukraine, he was posthumously awarded the “Combatant’s Cross.”

Oleg Tereshchuk, born on May 11, 1990, in the village of Steblivka in the Mizotska community, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in September 2025. On December 19, 2025, 35-year-old Senior Soldier Oleg was killed by an enemy drone strike in the Donetsk region.
