Fire in a Bathhouse in Rivne, Residents Evacuated

On March 23 at 21:01, a report was received on the emergency line “101” about a fire in the basement of a four-story apartment building located at: Rivne, Fabryczna Street.

Firefighters from the 25th and 1st State Fire and Rescue Units of Rivne, as well as a rescue vehicle and the operational coordination center of the regional management, were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, rescuers found that thick smoke was coming from the basement, which housed a private bathhouse.

Due to the heavy smoke and the threat to residents, firefighters from the gas and smoke protection service quickly conducted reconnaissance and began evacuating people while simultaneously applying extinguishing agents to combat the fire.

A total of 25 residents were evacuated from the building. The fire was quickly extinguished, and there were no casualties or injuries.

The fire destroyed wooden wall and ceiling decorations in the steam room over an area of 4 square meters within the bathhouse.

To extinguish the fire, 5 units of special equipment from the State Emergency Service and 14 rescuers were involved.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently being investigated.
