On March 7 at 10:00 PM, a report was received on the emergency line “101” about a fire in a private household in the village of Maly Stydyn, Rivne District.

Rescuers from the 19th State Fire and Rescue Unit in Kostopil and a fire truck from the local fire brigade in the village of Yapolot quickly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, rescuers found that the fire was located in one of the rooms of the residential building. Due to heavy smoke, firefighters had to work using breathing and eye protection equipment.
During the examination of the room, the body of a man born in 1962 was found without signs of life.
As a result of the fire, a sofa and household items covering an area of 6 m² were destroyed by flames.
To extinguish the fire, 2 units of special equipment from the State Emergency Service and 8 firefighters were involved. Currently, specialists are determining the causes of the fire and the extent of the material damage caused.
