Massive Fire in Rivne Region: Rescuers Battled the Flames for Three Hours

On October 26 at 03:48, a report of a fire at a private property on Shkilna Street in the village of Horynhhrad Druhyi, Bilokrynytsia Territorial Community, Rivne District, was received by the emergency line “101”.

Emergency response teams from the 3rd and 1st State Fire and Rescue Units of Rivne, as well as the local fire brigade from the village of Shubkiv, were promptly dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters found that a utility building was engulfed in flames, posing a threat of spreading fire to a neighboring residential house. To prevent further spread of the fire, rescuers deployed one water hose to cool the residential building and another for directly extinguishing the source of the fire.

The firefighting efforts lasted nearly three hours.

As a result of the incident, the ceiling and roof of the utility building were destroyed over an area of about 80 m², along with a motorcycle and household items. Additionally, the wall finishes and utility inventory were damaged.

Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. Three fire trucks and eight rescuers were involved in the firefighting efforts. The cause of the fire and the extent of material damage are currently being determined by specialists.
