On April 23, around 09:40, the police received a report from a 52-year-old resident of Zdolbuniv about the discovery of his brother’s bloodied body in the home of an acquaintance.
The police found out that the evening before, a 57-year-old man was drinking alcohol with the 41-year-old hostess, a resident of Zdolbuniv. During a conflict that arose between them, the woman, while in a state of intoxication, inflicted at least two knife wounds to the neck and arms. After the act, she cleaned the knife, wiped the blood from the floor, and went to sleep.
Police seized physical evidence from the scene. According to the forensic expert’s conclusion, the preliminary cause of death was blood loss due to stab wounds.
Investigators detained the 41-year-old woman and informed her of the charges. The investigation is ongoing.
