A New PЦУ Church Opened in Rivne on Slovatskoho Street

The first prayer took place in the newly opened church of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine on Slovatskoho Street. The new place of worship can be accessed from the side of the cinema, – reports Rivne Post.

The monastery, which had been closed for nearly five years, was restored by Priest Ivan Davydiuk.

The solemn service was led by Metropolitan Havyriil of Rivne and Sarny of the PЦУ.

It is worth noting that the building on Slovatskoho Street had been abandoned for over five years. Previously, one part of the building housed a church, while another part served as the Rivne-Volyn Diocese of the UAPC. The parishioners entered into conflict with the church leadership over suspicions that the building might be sold. As a result of legal proceedings, the community was evicted, and the church received a new rector.
