On the night of Tuesday, January 20, residents from various parts of Ukraine witnessed an unusual natural phenomenon — the northern lights.

Photos of this stunning phenomenon were shared by residents of Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Rivne regions on social media.
The sky was painted in vibrant colors: shades of green, red, blue, and pink created a unique atmosphere.
The appearance of the northern lights was caused by a strong magnetic storm. Experts warn of possible effects from a very powerful radiation flare at the S4 level, which could lead to disruptions in satellite communication systems, including Starlink.
