“Starting today, Oksana Markarova will continue to assist our state as my advisor on the reconstruction of Ukraine and investments. We will definitely defend our independence and Ukraine’s right to be a sovereign European state. We are ensuring Ukraine’s ability to defend itself and have been resisting full-scale Russian aggression on a daily basis for almost 4 years. Despite all the difficulties, we are providing Ukraine with the necessary weapons, air defense systems, and sufficient resources for internal resilience,” he noted.
“I am glad that Oksana remains in our state’s team, and her tasks will now include consultations on issues that strengthen Ukraine, namely — improving the business climate, enhancing the financial stability of our state, attracting investments, and planning reconstruction together with our strategic partners,” the president added.
It is worth noting that Oksana Markarova was born in Rivne on October 28, 1976. She studied at School No. 27 and earned a master’s degree from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. The Rivne native also served as the Minister of Finance of Ukraine and was the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA.
