The criminal activity of the detained individual was documented by the Sarny District Police in cooperation with the SBU and border guards under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office.
Law enforcement officials found that the man had previously rented a house in the Sarny district, where he organized the delivery of eight men subject to mobilization and provided them with food and water for a day.
On January 29, he brought two individuals to a designated location, left them there, and returned for the rest. Changing his vehicle, the perpetrator loaded six men into the cabin and trunk of an SUV. However, on the way to the border, he was stopped by law enforcement officers.
The detained individual was informed of the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to the organization of illegal transportation of individuals across the state border.
The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for 60 days with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 266,240 hryvnias, which he has already paid.
In addition, eight citizens of conscription age were held administratively liable.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are identifying other individuals involved in this offense.
