Over 5,000 Cases of ARVI Recorded in Rivne Region in One Week

During the second week of 2026 (from January 5 to 11), 5,389 individuals with symptoms of influenza and ARVI sought medical assistance in the region. In comparison, the previous week recorded 4,725 cases, which exceeds the rate by 414 per 100,000 population.

There are 153 patients receiving inpatient treatment, including 4 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19. Among all patients, children make up 55%.

The distribution of cases among adults is as follows:

  • Aged 18–29 years — 674 cases (12.5%)
  • Aged 30–64 years — 1,407 cases (26%)
  • Aged 65+ — 337 cases (6.2%)

It is worth noting that no district in the region has recorded an exceedance of the epidemic threshold.

COVID-19 Situation in the Region:

  • During the specified week — 4 cases (0.3 per 100,000 population).
  • In the previous week — 5 cases (0.4 per 100,000).

According to epidemiological surveillance data, influenza type A viruses, as well as adenoviruses and rhinoviruses, currently prevail in the region.
