The court has secured the recovery of 2.1 million UAH in damages caused by illegal logging.

This year, the Economic Court has satisfied six claims in favor of the Zdolbuniv, Mizytska, Bereznivska, and Holovyn territorial communities due to improper execution of duties regarding forest protection. This was a result of illegal logging that harmed forest crops.
The claims were filed due to the lack of necessary measures by the permanent forest users, including the branches of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” and the Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Railways,” to protect the forest from illegal actions on the areas assigned to them.
After the court decisions gain legal force, the prosecutor’s office will take measures for their actual enforcement.
