Since the beginning of 2025, rescuers from the regional garrison of the State Emergency Service have successfully extinguished 2000 fires.

During firefighting efforts, firefighters were able to save the lives of 31 people, including one child. Unfortunately, 35 citizens lost their lives, and another 22 individuals sustained injuries, including burns.
90% of all fire incidents occur due to non-compliance with basic fire safety rules, including:
- careless handling of fire;
- burning of dry vegetation;
- smoking while intoxicated;
- using faulty electrical appliances;
- violating the rules of stove heating operation;
- children playing with fire;
- other causes.
