The incident took place yesterday, April 24, around 12:20 near the village of Rohachiv. Police determined that the driver of a passenger train operating on the “Dnipro-Khelm” route, despite emergency braking, was unable to avoid hitting a 16-year-old resident of the village of Karayevychi, who was caught under the wheels.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the young man died at the scene of the accident.
The investigator has organized a preliminary investigation to thoroughly determine the circumstances of this tragedy.
