The investigator preliminarily established that the driver of the “HAZ” bus, a 48-year-old resident of the village of Velykyi Oleksyn, while making a left turn maneuver, failed to ensure its safety, did not yield the right of way, and collided with a passenger car “Mazda,” driven by a 21-year-old resident of Rivne.
As a result of the accident, the minibus driver sustained a broken arm and was hospitalized.
Both drivers were sober.
Regarding the violation of traffic safety rules that resulted in the victim sustaining moderate bodily injuries, the investigator has initiated a pre-trial investigation.
