The accident occurred on March 22 at around 8:00 PM in the village of Horodysche on Independence Street.

The investigator who arrived at the scene found that a 29-year-old driver of a BMW from the city of Berezne had crossed into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a 43-year-old local resident who was riding a bicycle.
As a result of the accident, the cyclist sustained a closed head injury, fractures of the leg and collarbone, as well as contusions and lacerations. The victim was hospitalized in the trauma department.
The driver of the car was sober. Biological samples were taken from both drivers for further examination. The investigator has already initiated a pre-trial investigation.
