Honoring the Memory of Heroes
In Rivne Region, a farewell was held for seven soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine. Among the fallen are: Serhiy Boryotyuk from Sarny, Andriy Holovchenko from Rivne, Volodymyr Filimonov, Andriy Stupnytsky from Kostopil Territorial Community, Andriy Melnyk from Horodok Community, Vasyl Okhrymchuk, and Dmytro Tsuri from Dubno.

Serhiy Boryotyuk was born in Rivne and from the first days of the full-scale invasion, he took up arms to defend Ukraine, serving in the 104th Brigade and the 60th Battalion “Polissia Wolves.” In 2023, he served as a machine gun operator and mastered complex radio-electronic warfare systems. Unfortunately, his life was cut short in a hospital in Pavlohrad.
Andriy Holovchenko was born on October 9, 1989, in the city of Rubizhne, Luhansk region. As part of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, he participated in combat operations since 2018. After moving to Rivne Region, he once again took up arms to defend his homeland on the first day of the full-scale invasion. His combat path led him through the hottest points on the front line. Unfortunately, on April 20, 2026, the 36-year-old sergeant was killed in Donetsk region.
Andriy Melnyk was born on September 7, 1995, in the village of Stavky, Horodok Community, and was mobilized in 2025. He served in the 46th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. While carrying out a combat mission on April 16, 2026, he sustained severe injuries from an enemy drone attack and, unfortunately, died on April 19 in a hospital in Dnipro.
Andriy Stupnytsky was born on September 27, 1974, in the village of Rudnya. He enlisted in military service in 2024 and soon went missing while on a mission. Later, he was declared deceased based on DNA testing.
Volodymyr Filimonov was born on January 23, 1968, in the village of Yatskovychi. He was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine in November 2025 and served in the 156th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Unfortunately, he was killed in Donetsk region on April 19, 2026.
Vasyl Okhrymchuk was born on December 23, 1985, took up arms to defend Ukraine in 2014, and continued his service after the full-scale invasion by Russia. His death was confirmed after he was reported missing. The soldier was killed on August 17, 2025, in Donetsk region.
Dmytro Tsuri was born on February 28, 1995, in the city of Dubno. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2023 and participated in combat operations. Unfortunately, his life was cut short on April 12, 2026.
