Yaroslav Novak, a native of Sarny, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale invasion. As a senior sergeant, he served in the 60th Battalion of the 104th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade “Polissia Wolves.” The warrior participated in fierce battles in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, earning numerous awards for personal bravery. Unfortunately, on March 7, 2026, Yaroslav was killed in Sumy Oblast.
Hennadiy Torlop, born on February 11, 2004, lived in the village of Posnykiv in the Mlyniv community. He began defending his homeland from Russian occupiers in September 2023. He served as a drone operator in an airborne assault battalion, where he received the call sign “Luty.” Hennadiy went missing on January 6, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission in the Kursk region, and his death was later confirmed.
Serhiy Fedorchuk, born on March 20, 1976, in the village of Pidbrusyn, was conscripted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 27, 2024. He underwent training in the 155th Brigade and later voluntarily transferred to the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he served as an operator in the 2nd Mechanized Company. Serhiy bravely defended his homeland in the Pokrovsk direction. Unfortunately, he was killed on August 3, 2024, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk Oblast. For a long time, Serhiy was considered missing in action, and only on March 9, 2026, after identification, was his death officially confirmed.
