From July 2020 to May 2021, a 54-year-old resident of Kortsia, while serving as the head of one of the departments of the State Automobile Roads Service in Rivne, failed to ensure proper oversight of technical supervision during road construction.

It has been established that the man received documents from the contractor with inflated data on the cost of transporting sand, totaling 975,314 hryvnias. Not detecting any discrepancies in the documentation, he signed them and stamped them, after which he submitted them to his supervisor, who acted similarly. This led to the transfer of funds and caused material damage to the State Automobile Roads Service in the specified amount.
The investigator informed the 54-year-old resident of Kortsia of his suspicion of committing a crime. The pre-trial investigation has been completed, and the materials of the criminal proceedings have been sent to court.
According to the sanctions of the article, this crime is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 2 to 5 years.
