In Rivne Region, two servicemen were laid to rest – Oleksandr Atamanyuk from Ostroh and Dmytro Kikot from Mlyniv.

Dmytro Kikot, who lived in the village of Dovhoshyy, was buried on December 27. The farewell and funeral service took place near his family home. The soldier was interred at the local cemetery.
Oleksandr Atamanyuk, born on June 23, 1978, in the village of Brodivske, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in April 2023. After being wounded in June of the same year, he underwent a lengthy rehabilitation and returned to service in the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade as an operator of anti-tank missile systems. He was killed on January 2, 2025, while performing a combat mission in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region due to an attack by enemy FPV drones and mortar fire. After that, he was considered missing under special circumstances.
