The accident occurred on January 16 at around 7:30 PM on the “Kyiv-Chop” highway near the village of Babyn.

According to preliminary data, the driver of a “Mitsubishi Outlander”, a 36-year-old resident of the village of Terentiyiv, struck a 21-year-old woman from the village of Riasnyky, who was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the incident.
It is known that at the time of the accident, the section of the road was unlit due to a power outage.
An investigation is currently underway.
According to the examination, the driver of the vehicle was sober.
