The match between «Veres» and «Kudrivka», held in Rivne, was memorable not only for the result but also for the weather conditions. «Veres» coach Oleg Shandruk expressed after the match that there is a lack of necessary players in Ukraine, forcing him to seek new talent abroad. This sparked controversy, as the winning goals were scored by players who previously played for other Ukrainian clubs.
«It’s strange that if there are no suitable players in Ukraine, then who scored the winning goals?» — questions the sports community. For instance, Vitaliy Boyko, who transferred from Cherkasy LNZ to «Veres», became one of the match heroes, while Maksym Smiyan, who also has experience playing for «Zorya», proved his worth to the team.
Questions arise about whether it is truly wise to underestimate Ukrainian players when their performances suggest otherwise. «Obolon» and «Poltava», which are mainly composed of Ukrainians, also demonstrate a good level of play, proving that Ukrainian footballers are capable of much.
The question remains open: does «Veres» really need foreigners more than local talents? Time will tell if these «invisible» players can prove their worth in upcoming matches.
