In this friendly, Veres faced Poland’s oldest team, Cracovia. The nominal hosts in Belek opened the scoring first. While Semen Vovchenko, who had just come on as a substitute, and Kai Tsipot were trying to establish their roles on the field, Filip Stoikovich received the ball and struck from close range to beat goalkeeper Valentyn Horokh.

Cracovia had a chance to extend their lead before the break. The Poles easily penetrated our defense, but the successful actions of Veres’ goalkeeper thwarted attempts by Aydin Gashich and a follow-up from Mateusz Prashelik.

In the second half, Veres became more active. The Rivne team quickly leveled the score. Ihnat Pushkuts received a diagonal pass and, reaching the edge of the penalty area, passed the ball to Ihor Kharatin. He executed a curling shot from outside the box, hitting the far bottom corner of the net – 1:1!

Ihor Kharatin could have given Veres the win, but he missed several opportunities. First, his shot from ten meters was saved by the Cracovia goalkeeper, and later the midfielder lacked accuracy in a long-range shot.

Veres’ next match will take place on January 22 in Turkey, where the team will face the Czech club Bohemians 1905.
