Rivne’s Veres defender Roman Honcharenko shared his impressions after the team’s defeat to Donetsk’s Shakhtar in the 18th round of the UPL.

Honcharenko noted that the mood in the team is negative, as losing is always unpleasant, regardless of the opponent: “A loss always means zero points. No one will remember how the game went.”
Commenting on a key moment in the match, he pointed out that the team’s goalkeeper, Valentyn Horokh, failed to play the ball, which led to the conceded goal.
“It’s a working moment. The goalkeeper came out but didn’t play the ball. Valentyn has saved us many times. I think no one can blame him. It’s not his fault. The whole team is to blame,” Honcharenko stated.
He also expressed doubt about whether he and Vitaliy Boyko hindered Horokh from playing the ball, emphasizing the need for a detailed analysis of the episode: “The ball went to the near post… In any case, Shakhtar took advantage of their set piece.”
