Mykola Lukashuk was born in the village of Mala Moshchanytsia. At the age of thirteen, he lost his father, which meant that the burden of supporting the family fell on his shoulders. After finishing school, he received vocational training, worked, got married, and had three children.

Mykola Lukashuk began his military service immediately after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine on February 26, 2022. Initially, he served in the guard company in Zdolbuniv, later he was transferred to the Belarusian border, and then to Zaporizhzhia. In October 2023, during an offensive in the Zaporizhzhia direction, he and his comrades were caught in a firefight and were forced to retreat. At that time, Mykola went missing.

Mykola Lukashuk was considered missing for almost two years. His family held onto hope until the very end that he was alive. Unfortunately, the death of the soldier was confirmed on October 4, 2023. He was 53 years old forever.
