A call was received on line 102 about an accident that occurred between the villages of Klevan and Zorya.
This is reported by Rivne24
The patrol officers, upon contacting the caller, learned that the driver of a white VAZ car lost control while overtaking, veered into oncoming traffic, and crashed into a concrete beam on the roadside. There were three passengers in the vehicle.
Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, the patrol officers found that a 21-year-old man was behind the wheel, who did not have a driving license as he had never obtained one.
The individual exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication. The patrol officers offered him a sobriety test at the scene and at a medical facility, but the man refused. It was also determined that he did not have an insurance policy.
The patrol officers prepared administrative materials against the driver for:
- Part 2 of Article 130 (Repeated driving under the influence or refusal to undergo a sobriety test within a year) of the Code of Administrative Offenses;
- Article 124 (Traffic rule violation that caused an accident) of the Code of Administrative Offenses;
- Part 1 of Article 126 (Driving without the appropriate documents) of the Code of Administrative Offenses;
- Part 5 of Article 126 (Repeated driving of a vehicle by a person who does not have the right to drive such a vehicle within a year) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
The patrol officers towed the vehicle to the impound lot.
