On March 14, 2026, a farewell was held in Berezne for the Defender of Ukraine Oleksandr Valentyovych Vyshnevskyi.

Oleksandr was born on February 13, 1980, in the city of Berezne. He studied at Berezne Secondary School No. 2, where he is remembered as a calm, kind, and sincere student. In civilian life, he worked in construction and engaged in repair work.
As a soldier and grenade launcher in the infantry unit of the battalion, Oleksandr defended Ukraine since December 2025. He was killed on March 6, 2026, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.
The farewell to the Hero began at the family home where he lived. His relatives, friends, comrades, and community members came to bid him a final farewell.
The farewell continued at Independence Square. After a public memorial service, the procession set off through the city streets to the Holy Trinity Church of Berezne, where a requiem service was held for the Defender.
Oleksandr was buried at the city cemetery in the area known as “Lukavets” on the Alley of Glory, alongside fellow countrymen who also gave their lives for an independent Ukraine.
Oleksandr is survived by his mother Lyudmyla Fedorivna and brothers Valentyn and Oleg.
