A Charity Campaign ‘Easter Bread for a Friend’ Has Launched in Rivne Region

The annual charity initiative “Easter Bread for a Friend” has begun in the Rivne region. This year, it started at the Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital and has traditionally united the residents of the region around supporting the military and those in need.

The campaign has been ongoing for 13 consecutive years. This year’s initiative will last for a week. Easter breads will be delivered to various corners of the region and the country — primarily to those who need them the most.

Employees of cultural institutions, educators, journalists, representatives of the veteran community, volunteers, and local businesses have joined this good cause. Participants in the campaign emphasize that it is important not only to deliver the Easter bread but also to offer warmth, support, and gratitude.

On the very first day, over 400 Easter breads were baked. They will be delivered to wounded defenders, military personnel, internally displaced persons, and sick children.

In addition to baking, a master class on decorating Easter eggs was organized for the hospital patients. It was conducted by a folk art master and the leader of the “Watercolor” club at the culture house in the village of Zdolbuny, Snezana Korol. The decorated eggs and children’s drawings will also be sent to the military — as a symbol of faith, support, and home warmth.

The campaign is also taking place in other locations: it is actively supported on social media, with further events planned at the IT college, and private bakeries have also joined the initiative.
