Ukraine is expecting the arrival of the combined PENTA-Hib vaccine, which provides protection against five dangerous infections: diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, viral hepatitis B, and Haemophilus influenzae infection.

Vaccination will soon begin in the Rivne region.
According to the Vaccination Schedule, this vaccine is administered to children at the ages of 2, 4, 6, and 18 months.
These infections pose a particular threat to children, as they can lead to serious complications:
- Whooping cough causes prolonged coughing fits that can lead to respiratory arrest in infants.
- Diphtheria affects the respiratory tract and heart, which can cause suffocation.
- Tetanus is accompanied by severe muscle spasms that can be fatal.
- Hepatitis B in children can progress to a chronic form, negatively affecting the liver.
- Hib infection can lead to meningitis, pneumonia, and other serious conditions.
