The Economic Court of Rivne Region granted the lawsuit filed in the interests of the state through the Milyatska Village Council against a private company for the termination of land lease agreements and the return of the land to the territorial community.

In 2019, the company leased three plots of land with a total area of nearly 70 hectares for agricultural production.
However, starting from 2022, the lessee failed to fulfill their obligations under the contract, specifically not paying the rent for the use of the land. This constituted a violation of the requirements of the Land and Tax Codes of Ukraine, as well as the Law of Ukraine “On Land Lease.”
In order to protect the interests of the community, the prosecutor’s office appealed to the court, which fully supported the prosecutor’s arguments.
After the decision comes into legal force, measures will be taken for its actual enforcement, allowing the local self-government body to transfer the land to a conscientious lessee and ensure revenue to the local budget.
